Signage plan and way-finding for 200 km. route of Bicycle tourism routes
Task:
The purpose of the project was to identify the optimal alignment and ensure correct signage and way-finding for a total of 200 km. routes through 6 municipalities.
The entire 200km. was examined by bicycle, to make sure the observations were made from a cyclist's point of view. Carrying out digital tracking, photo documentation and records of all places where signage should be provided.
Creating value:
Exact specification of signage types, posts etc. secured a clear overview of what the clients shall purchase and establish, including exact placement on detailed maps for each location where a sign should be placed. A scheme with a dynamic overview of cost levels, as well as GIS-based map material, was delivered.
Background:
The 6 municipalities wished to create a common identity for the two bicycle routes through a Communication and Signage Plan.
