Cargo-bike parking – version 2.0
HOE360 Consulting assisted the City of Copenhagen with the development of a new Cargo-bike parking facility. Trough the entire process from idea and concept development, design, clarification of functionalities, project planning and the tender process leading to the final product. Followed by identifying the specific locations for the placement.
Among the activities have been the planning, management and execution of the two-day workshop. Workshop participants were innovation and design students from different Universities, which contributed with design and functionality inspiration for the further process.
And sparring with selected producers on functionality and design.
The key focus has been on usability and creating a safe parking facility for the Cargo-bike users. Ex. providing sufficient lockable functions to protect the Cargo-bike from theft.
History
The predecessor for this version was a prototype developed in 2009 for the City of Copenhagen known as the Pink car. The prototype was tested in 1:1 at two locations in Copenhagen from 2009 to 2013 and formed the work on the new 2.0 version.

30.000 Cargo-bikes in Copenhagen. Every fourth family with two children or more in the household have a Cargobike.
