Bicycle parking without traditional bike racks
Task: HOE360 Consulting was responsible for the evaluation of the two initiatives, both of which were part of the event "Build your city", held in Copenhagen. The task was to clarify whether "designed solutions have an effect on the behaviour and the way cyclists park their bike."
Value creation: Several of the solutions were very exciting and very different from what is traditionally associated with bicycle parking. In particular, the solution offered an interesting feature in the form of a dual function, wherein both the installation could be used for bicycle parking and at the same time function as a unit.
Background: "Create your city" was a 'Copenhagen experiment' initiated by the Technical and Environmental Administration - a different way to involve city residents in a dialogue about the city's use and development, with a goal to make Copenhagen the world's best city to live in. Via a website and an app a forum for exchange of views and favourite places in Copenhagen and specific tips on good places in the city for events, were created.
