Task: HOE360 Consulting developed parking and service facilities at bus stops and train stations called Super Bike parking. The solution was developed in a collaborative process and integrated with the existing Super Cycle Track Network and the surrounding urban space.
Value Creation: The solution had a special focus on functionality and involved the development and design of a new type of bike rack with special features for securing bicycles that can be used without having to bring your own extra lock. Furthermore, we established 'real time information' about the departure times of the other public transport and a service area where bikes can be repaired.
Background: The customer was faced with a challenge that involved partly the lack of bicycle parking spaces, partly a desire to raise awareness and integration with the public transport and Super Bike Path which fits between the bus stop and the new bicycle parking.
Special conditions: At one of the sites, an existing slope was exploited so that the stairs up against Værløse station now operates with integrated bicycle parking step by step.
