Good City life by bicycle – creating liveable cities 
Have a live tour of the 2014 keynote speak from the Velo-City Global conference. We will ride to the locations mentioned in the keynote, and you can see for yourself the influence the initiatives have on good city life, and how it contributes to creating economic wellbeing for the local business. We will stop, observe and discuss at several locations with concrete examples of cycling planning and infrastructure. The tour is flavored with personal anecdotes from 15 years of working with bicycling. 

Duration: 1½ – 2 hours with time for Q & A during the ride.

Parking – A lot of bikes need a lot of places to park 
A special focus on how Copenhagen deals with its many bicycles when they don’t ride. Each Copenhagener has at least one bicycle and they don’t ride on them all the time – So it leads to parked bicycles. We will look at examples such as: space allocation, capacity, design, functionality, accessibility, flexible- and temporary use of space, amenity, storage & theft prevention. Get more people riding – get more parked bicycles. It’s not a problem, but it sure is a challenge.

Ride the city with one that lived his whole life in Copenhagen and also knows the city from more than 15 years professional experience with urban planning focusing on cycling and mobility and being involved in many of the cycling initiatives around the city. We will stop and discuss several concrete examples of cycling planning and infrastructure during the ride. The tour is flavored with personal anecdotes from the many bike projects HOE360 Consulting has been involved in.
