New itinerary to School
The school Højdevangen is part of the so-called 4- school cooperation in Copenhagen. Where 4 schools had been merged. The school has been made the school for the oldest students. This has meant that many students have a new school route between home and school.
HOE360 Consulting conducted an analysis of the current parking facilities and drew up a plan for possible extensions of bicycle parking capacity. Furthermore developed promotional initiatives to make pupils aware of their opportunities to walk or cycle to school. This included signs for guidance of students’ new route between home and school.
And the establishment of a temporary bicycle workshop at the school, where pupils are taught about commonly occurring bike repairs and got mounted bike lights and reflectors. The campaign aimed to give students a greater sense of ownership of their bike through improved knowledge of its features and how the bike is repaired. At the same time informing students about their opportunities for good and safe cycling between home and school.
