Peer-review of Bicycle Parking General Code
Task: HOE360 Consulting conducted the peer review of the ACT Bicycle parking General Code report on bicycle parking and other parking facilities prepared for Australia's capital Canberra.
Value Creation: A local desire was to put the contents of the report in relation to European norms and standards - to ensure the level of ambition as well as increase the likelihood of achieving the planned 2026 targets.
Background: The purpose of the ACT Bicycle parking General Code was to secure that future bicycle parking and 'End of Trip' facilities were adequate and sufficient to encourage people to cycle. One objective is to increase the level of commuter cycling to 7% in 2026, in order to be consistent with the objectives of the city's overall sustainability transportation plan.
